Hi, I’m Marilize, founder of Mind Studio.

All too often within a business environment, people pay lip service to the fundamental needs of their teams, and lack the authenticity and care required to generate a high-performance environment that is healthy and functional.

My journey began in a small town in Central South Africa, eventually I found myself working for one of the biggest logistics companies in the world leading teams globally and across North America. I experienced, first-hand the difficulties of navigating change management, maintaining team engagement, and making decisive choices in a remote work environment.

My uniquely personal approach, centres around optimizing processes, fostering a growth mindset, and creating teams that excel. The pivotal moment in my life came when I was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition which required immediate open-heart surgery.

This experience taught me the power of resilience and the mind’s capability to overcome any adversity. It deepened my understanding of how our brain can revolutionise our leadership ability, transforming it at the most profound level.

I now incorporate into my training. Having worked in an incredibly demanding senior role for nearly a quarter of a century, I know that true leadership effectiveness comes from self-awareness and continuous development.
